Jam Cruise

Jam Cruise is an annual five-day, music-driven cruise, featuring jam, funk, rock, jazz, and electronic performances, as well as musical workshops, activities and other programs. Produced by Cloud 9 Adventures, Jam Cruise has dispatched fourteen cruises since 2004. The cruise departs from PortMiami, Florida and stops in ports throughout the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico.
Jam Cruise features musical collaborations and musician-led jam sessions throughout the event. The schedule is designed to allow participants to collaborate with performing artists in venues such as the “Jam Room” and “Jazz Lounge,” where the musicians rotate in and out of live stage sessions.
During days at sea, music begins playing at noon and continues on until the early hours of the morning. Days when the ship is stopped at a port, the music typically begins around 5pm as the ship departs from that port.Jam Cruise also runs themed night activities on the ship.
== History ==

The first Jam Cruise was organized by Mark Brown and Cloud 9 Adventures. Held on the MS Regal Empress from January 6 to 10, 2004, the cruise sailed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas and Key West, Florida. While the first Jam Cruise (known as Jam Cruise 1) carried 800 cruisers and featured 18 bands and artists, the event has grown to accommodate over 3,000 and more than 40 bands and artists.
